Youth Group Dismisses Fraud Allegations Against IGP Egbetokun as Fabrication

Integr Youth Alliance (IYA) has strongly denied fraud allegations against Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kayode Egbetokun, dismissing them as fabricated and baseless. The group issued a rebuttal to refute a report by SaharaReporters accusing the IGP of being involved in a multi-million dollar fraud scandal.

IYA challenged the claims, stating that they were a mix of conjecture and outright fabrication. The group emphasized that the allegations were an attempt to tarnish the reputation of the IGP and undermine the integrity of the Nigeria Police Force.

Danjuma Lamido, the spokesperson for IYA, clarified that the IGP had no personal or professional ties to the individuals mentioned in the report. The group also rejected claims of unlawful surveillance, emphasizing that all activities were conducted within the confines of the law.

IYA urged the public to disregard the unfounded allegations and called on media organizations to verify facts before publishing such reports.
