YouTube Enforces Ad Blocker Restrictions; Apple Launches Video Podcasts

YouTube has begun enforcing new restrictions on its web platform for users who enable ad blockers, resulting in the disappearance of comment sections and video descriptions. This issue has been reported by several users on Reddit and other online forums, particularly affecting those using browsers with built-in ad-blocking features, such as Brave.

Users have noted that comments and descriptions become visible again when ad blockers are disabled. This change follows YouTube's earlier efforts to limit ad blocker usage, which included warning messages during video playback.

In a separate development, Apple announced on Monday that it will introduce integrated video podcast features to its Apple Podcast service in Spring. This update will allow users to switch between audio and video within podcast feeds and enable offline downloads of video episodes.

According to Edison Research, 37% of people aged 12 and older watch video podcasts monthly, positioning Apple to compete more effectively with platforms like Spotify and YouTube.
