YPP Sets Presidential Nomination Fee at ₦50 Million

The Young Progressives Party (YPP) has announced that the fee for its presidential nomination form is set at ₦50 million. This decision was disclosed by Egbeola Martin, the party's national public secretary, following a meeting of the party's 25th National Executive Committee held at its national secretariat in Abuja.

The YPP has also established nomination fees for other positions: ₦20 million for governorship, ₦8 million for Senate aspirants, ₦3 million for House of Representatives, and ₦1.5 million for state assembly positions. To promote inclusivity, the party will offer a 50% concession on nomination fees for aspirants below 40 years of age, women, and persons with disabilities.

The sale of nomination forms has commenced immediately, with primary elections scheduled for various dates in May 2026. The YPP's National Executive Committee also expressed concerns over the worsening security situation in the country, particularly regarding kidnappings and violent attacks, calling for decisive political action to address these issues.
