Ohanaeze Youths Commend Mr. Adedeji for Revenue Success

The Ohanaeze Youths have praised Mr. Adedeji for surpassing Nigeria's 2025 revenue target, achieving a total revenue collection of ₦28.23 trillion, which is ₦3 trillion above the projected figure and represents a 12% increase.

This commendation was made in a statement issued on Thursday in Abuja by Comrade Igboayaka, who described the performance as unprecedented and reflective of strategic leadership and fiscal discipline. The group emphasized that this achievement was driven by enhanced non-oil tax revenue, demonstrating a growth in the diversification of Nigeria's revenue base.

They noted that ongoing reforms within the service, particularly in expanding the tax net and improving compliance mechanisms, have been crucial. The council called for continued support for fiscal reforms aimed at strengthening national revenue generation, which is essential for funding infrastructure, security, and education.

They expressed confidence in Mr. Adedeji's leadership and encouraged the National Revenue Service to build on this success for even greater milestones in the future.
