Zamfara State and Air Force Strengthen Anti-Banditry Ties

Zamfara State is deepening its collaboration with the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) to tackle banditry and enhance security in the region. Governor Dauda Lawal reiterated the state's commitment to strengthening this partnership, which aims to restore peace across Zamfara.

During a recent visit to the NAF personnel at Gusau International Airport, Governor Lawal expressed support for the security agencies and highlighted the importance of logistical collaboration. Muhammad Mahmud Dantawasa, the state commissioner for information and culture, described the NAF as a critical partner in the fight against insecurity, noting that their intelligence and aerial operations are vital in disrupting criminal activities in remote communities.

The governor emphasized that security is central to economic development and growth, and he addressed the need to invest in education, healthcare, agriculture, infrastructure, and youth empowerment programs to tackle the root causes of insecurity. He expressed optimism that sustained collaboration with security agencies would improve safety and restore confidence among residents.
