Zamfara APC Condemns Vandalism of Tinubu Billboards

The Zamfara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) issued a condemnation regarding the vandalism of billboards displaying the image of President Bola Tinubu. In a statement released on Friday from the party's public secretariat in Gusau, spokesperson Yusuf Idri described the situation as disturbing and warned that it could trigger political violence in the state.

The APC noted that the removal and destruction of these billboards have been ongoing and alleged that there is a clampdown on APC billboards by certain individuals. Idri further claimed that individuals are sponsoring unrest ahead of the party's congress and the 2027 general elections.

Reports indicated that suspected thugs attempted to vandalize billboards near the residence of Minister of State for Defence Bello Matawalle, which were reportedly installed in front of his home in Gusau. The APC called on security agencies in the state to prevent further acts of vandalism and ensure peace, warning against actions that could escalate political tension and lead to violence.
