Zamfara State Bans Signing-Out Activities in Schools

The Zamfara State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, led by Abdulmalik Abubakar Gajam, has prohibited signing-out activities in educational institutions across the state. This decision, communicated through a circular issued on Monday, is a response to increasing concerns regarding student misconduct associated with these activities.

The ministry highlighted that such events have become avenues for gross misconduct and indecent behavior, which contradict the moral and academic values upheld by the state's educational system. The directive mandates an immediate suspension of signing-out activities and requires educational institutions to convene mandatory meetings with stakeholders to ensure proper dissemination and enforcement of this directive.

Parents and guardians are advised to caution their children against participating in such activities. The ministry warned of strict penalties for violations, including disciplinary measures for teachers and students involved.

The state government, under Governor Dauda Lawal, reaffirms its commitment to maintaining discipline and moral standards in schools throughout Zamfara State.
