Nigerian Reps Urge New Security Strategy in Zamfara Amid Rising Threats

The House of Representatives in Nigeria has called on President Buhari to implement a new comprehensive security strategy in Zamfara state to address the increasing violence by bandits and terrorists. Lawmakers have directed the Ministry of Defence and military chiefs to launch coordinated operations to neutralize these threats.

The attacks have resulted in deaths, kidnappings, and looting of agricultural produce, leading to a severe humanitarian crisis. The House unanimously passed a motion emphasizing the urgent need for military action to restore order and protect vulnerable communities in Zamfara.
