Amancio Ortega to Receive €3.2 Billion Dividend from Inditex

Amancio Ortega, the Spanish billionaire and co-founder of the fashion retail giant Inditex, is poised to receive a €3.2 billion dividend, which is part of a record payout from the company. Inditex announced on Wednesday its plan to increase the dividend to €1.75 per share, marking a significant financial milestone for the company Ortega co-founded six decades ago.

Ortega, who holds a 59% stake in Inditex, has his daughter, Marta Ortega, serving as the company's non-executive chairwoman. His investment vehicle, Pontegadea Inversiones, has historically reinvested major dividend earnings into global real estate assets, focusing on premium commercial and residential properties in major international cities.

Ortega's investment strategy has also expanded into infrastructure and energy assets, including renewable energy projects and telecommunications infrastructure. The steady dividend stream from Inditex continues to support Ortega's aggressive global investment strategy.
