Zulum Donates N150m to Families of Slain Military Officers

On a recent visit, Borno State Governor Professor Babagana Umara Zulum donated N150 million to the families of three military officers who were killed in a recent attack in the state. This donation is part of the governor's sustained support for the families of fallen heroes and personnel wounded during counter-insurgency operations across Borno State.

Governor Zulum visited the families of the late Lieutenant Colonel Umar Farouq, Lieutenant Colonel Salihu Iliyasu, and Lieutenant Colonel Aliyu Saidu Paiko, presenting N50 million to each family. During his visit to the family of the late Lieutenant Colonel Salihu Iliyasu in Abuja, he expressed condolences and paid tribute to the officer's service to the nation.

The governor reaffirmed his administration's commitment to supporting the families of military personnel who have made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of the nation and announced plans to visit families of other officers killed in ongoing military operations.
