Akpabio Advocates Infrastructure Development in Abuja

Godswill Akpabio, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, made remarks at a dinner in Abuja, highlighting the importance of infrastructure development in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). He stated that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration inherited a fragile economy and has made necessary decisions to reverse fiscal strains caused by the previous fuel subsidy regime.

Akpabio noted that the removal of subsidies has alleviated a major financial burden on the nation, allowing for the reallocation of resources to strengthen the financial position of states. He commended the collaborative efforts of Nyesom Wike, the Minister of State for the FCT, and Dr. Mariya Mahmoud, which have led to visible infrastructural improvements across the territory.

Akpabio reaffirmed the administration's commitment to delivering impactful projects that enhance the lives of Nigerians, marking the end of a 31-day program that flagged off various projects across the FCT.
