14th MATA Equestrian Festival Launches in Larache, Morocco

The 14th MATA Equestrian Festival opened in Larache, Morocco, under the patronage of King Mohammed VI. The festival's theme emphasizes the profound cultural and spiritual heritage of the region.

It coincides with Eid al-Adha and aims to foster unity, reflecting Morocco's commitment to territorial integrity and development in the Sahara. The event showcases a rich program, including equestrian competitions that highlight the traditions of the JBala tribe.

It also features artisans and local cooperatives from Morocco and various African countries, including Côte d'Ivoire, Senegal, Benin, Mali, and Burkina Faso, promoting cultural and economic exchange in North West Africa. The festival will conclude with a grand performance by renowned Moroccan artist Saida Charaf, who is a guest of honor.
