Super Falcons Prepare for 14th Women AFCON in Morocco

The Nigeria Super Falcons are ramping up their preparations for the 14th Women AFCON, with a training camp established in Casablanca, Morocco. The team, under the guidance of current coach Justin Madugu, is expecting the arrival of additional players.

Currently, 15 players are training at La Noria Club, including notable players such as captain Rasheedat Ajibade and goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozi. The squad features players from various international clubs, including Asisat Oshoala from Al Hilal in Saudi Arabia and Halimatu Ayind from BK Häcken in Sweden.

The final phase of their preparation is crucial as they gear up for their opening match against Malawi on July 28, 2026. Among the players already in camp are defenders Shukurat Oladipo and Oluwatosin Demehin, midfielders Toni Payne and Christi Ucheibe, and forwards Jennif Echegini and Francisca Ordega.

The team is expected to finalize its roster with six more players before the tournament begins.
