15 Political Parties Confirm Participation in Bauchi Elections

The Inter-party Advisory Council (IPAC) in Bauchi State has confirmed that fifteen out of the twenty-two registered political parties are participating in the 2026 Local Council elections. This announcement was made by the State Chairman of IPAC, Hon Auwal Isa, who noted that only six parties are boycotting the elections, emphasizing that each party has the right to choose its participation.

Isa, who is also the State Chairman of the Allied People’s Movement (APM), praised the Bauchi State Independent Electoral Commission (BASIEC) for adhering to due process in organizing the elections. He expressed gratitude to the electorate for their participation, highlighting the importance of democracy.

Khalid Hassan Arewa, the Secretary of IPAC, also expressed satisfaction with the electoral process, confirming that his party participated after purchasing the necessary forms. He stated that the election was conducted according to relevant laws, allowing for its successful execution.
