IPAC Praises BASIEC for Successful Bauchi LG Elections

The Bauchi State Chapter of the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) issued a commendation regarding the local government elections held on Monday, 2026, describing the exercise as successful, fair, and free. The statement, signed by IPAC secretary Khalid Hassan Arewa, was released to journalists in Bauchi on Thursday.

IPAC expressed gratitude to God for the peaceful conduct of the elections across the 20 local government areas (LGAs) of Bauchi State, noting high voter turnout. The council attributed the success to the political inclusiveness fostered by Governor Sen. Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, who ensured that the Bauchi State Independent Electoral Commission (BASIEC) operated independently.

IPAC thanked the governor for creating an enabling environment for credible elections and acknowledged the professionalism of BASIEC, the efforts of security agencies in maintaining peace, and the participation of the electorate. IPAC reaffirmed its commitment to partnering with the government to enhance democracy and governance at the grassroots level.
