16 Villagers Killed in Benue Buried Amid Grief

On July 28, 2026, sixteen villagers in Efeyi, Benue, were killed when armed attackers invaded their community around 5 am and opened fire on residents. A mass burial for the victims took place on Saturday, attended by family members, community leaders, traditional rulers, politicians, and religious leaders.
