18 Teams Secure Spots for 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup

As of now, 18 of the 32 spots for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup have been secured, with the tournament set to take place in Brazil. Africa has qualified four teams: Algeria, Cameroon, Malawi, and Morocco, marking a significant achievement for women's football on the continent.

Asia has filled all six of its available spots with Australia, China, Japan, North Korea, the Philippines, and South Korea. Europe has confirmed four teams: Denmark, France, Germany, and Spain, although seven additional places remain to be filled.

New Zealand has secured Oceania's only direct place, while South America has qualified Argentina, Brazil (as hosts), and Colombia. With 14 places still available, the competition for qualification is intensifying, as the tournament promises to showcase established powerhouses and emerging nations in women's football.
