Delta Police Arrest 202 in Major Asaba Raid Operation

On a Saturday, Delta State Police Command conducted a significant operation in Asaba, resulting in the arrest of 202 suspects, comprising 102 males and 100 females. The raid targeted identified black spots, including brothels and illicit drug dens, as part of a sustained effort to eliminate criminal activities in the state.

The operation was led by Deputy Commissioner of Police Bright Edaf, who confirmed that it followed credible intelligence generated by the state intelligence department. During the operation, police impounded five vehicles, 10 tricycles, and 10 motorcycles for violating traffic regulations, including a state government ban on motorcycle operations in designated areas.

Commissioner of Police Yemi Oyeniyi reiterated the command's commitment to intelligence-driven policing and ongoing enforcement operations against criminal elements, urging the public to remain vigilant and provide timely information to the police.
