Delta Police Arrest 202 Suspects in Major Raids

On a Saturday, the Delta State Police Command conducted a significant operation targeting criminal hideouts and black spots in Asaba, resulting in the arrest of 202 suspects, comprising 102 males and 100 females. The operation was led by Deputy Commissioner of Police Bright Edaf, who confirmed that the raids were based on credible intelligence gathered from the state intelligence department.

The police also impounded five motor vehicles, ten tricycles, and ten motorcycles for violating traffic regulations. This operation is part of a sustained crackdown on criminal activities across Delta State, as emphasized by the Commissioner of Police, Yemi Oyeniyi, who reiterated the command's commitment to intelligence-driven policing.

He assured residents that the police would continue to deny criminal elements space and urged the public to remain vigilant and support the police with credible information.
