Super Eagles Receive Prize Money After AFCON 2025 Success

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has announced the distribution of prize money to the Super Eagles, who secured a third-place finish in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) held in Morocco. Each player will receive an alert of $15,000, totaling approximately N20 million.

This payment aligns with a prior agreement where the NFF allocated 30 percent of the team's prize earnings to the players. The Super Eagles earned a total of $2.5 million, equivalent to about N3.36 billion, after reaching the semi-finals of the tournament.

They were ultimately defeated by Egypt in a penalty shootout. The NFF's confirmation of these payments underscores their commitment to rewarding the team's performance in the tournament.
