FG Rewards Super Falcons with Houses Ahead of WAFCON

On Tuesday, the National Sports Commission (NSC) and the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) presented the Federal Government's promised rewards to the Super Falcons for their victory in the 2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations. The event occurred in Rabat, Morocco, just before Nigeria's opening match at the 2026 WAFCON against Malawi.

NSC Chairman Shehu Dikko and NFF General Secretary Mohammed Sanusi confirmed that each player received a cash gift of $100,000, which has already been deposited into their bank accounts, along with a three-bedroom apartment as part of the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Housing Estate initiative. The presentation was delayed for about a year due to administrative processes.

President Bola Tinubu had announced these rewards shortly after the Super Falcons' victory. Dikko stated that the timing of the presentation was intended to boost team morale ahead of the tournament, which runs from July 26 to August 16 in Morocco.
