Ogun State Commission Warns Perpetrators of Gender-Based Violence of Tough 2026

The Ogun State Commission for Women Affairs and Social Development, under the leadership of Adijat Adeley, has issued a stern warning to rapists and perpetrators of gender-based violence and child abuse, emphasizing strict enforcement of laws without bias in 2026. Adeley highlighted the commission's achievements in the past year and its commitment to a citizen-centric service delivery approach.

The commission acknowledged the critical role of partners like UNFPA, OGSTEP, and JICA in supporting their initiatives beyond financial assistance, including technical expertise and capacity building. Adeley also recognized and rewarded outstanding staff members for their dedication and innovation in advancing the ministry's mandate.
