NAFDAC DG Advocates for Women's Health Investment

On Sunday, during the commemoration of the 2026 International Women's Day in Abuja, Prof. Mojisola Adeyeye, the Director-General of NAFDAC, called for enhanced investment in the well-being of women and children, which she described as essential for building a healthier and sustainable future for Nigeria.

The event, themed "Give Gain," underscored the significant contributions of women in advancing public health and national development. Prof.

Adeyeye highlighted the agency's initiatives focused on maternal and newborn child health, which were launched in November 2025. She stressed that investing in women and children is an integral part of national development.

The event also featured remarks from Mr. Joan Agbaagu, head of the reform unit at NAFDAC, who noted that the theme "Give Gain" emphasizes the value of selfless service and collective commitment to improving the health of mothers, women, and children.
