ADC Appoints Imoke, Ahmed for 2027 Presidential Primaries

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has appointed former Cross River State Governor Liyel Imoke to chair the presidential screening committee and former Kwara State Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed to lead the presidential election committee in preparation for the 2027 elections. This announcement was made in a statement issued by the party's national publicity secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, on Monday.

The presidential screening committee will include members such as C.D. Maduabum, Lawal Batagarawa, Bode Ayorinde, Nnena Elendu, Ukej David Salifu, and Abubakar Ali Ciroma, with Maduabum serving as secretary.

The presidential election committee will have Yisa Gana as secretary, alongside members including Adamu Jalingo, Auwalu Anwar, Emenik Ikechi Macaulai, and Iyar. Additionally, the ADC has established two gubernatorial screening panels, with Femi Olawuyi and Justina Abanida chairing them, respectively.

The party aims to ensure transparency, fairness, and credibility throughout its primary election processes.
