ADC Alleges Illegal Billboard Removal in Oyo State

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has expressed alarm regarding the alleged removal of its campaign billboard in Ibadan, Oyo State. Adegboyega Adegok, the ADC's gubernatorial candidate, issued a statement on Saturday, claiming that the Oyo State government, under Governor Seyi Makinde, unlawfully removed the billboard located at the Idi-Ap Junction in Ibadan.

The billboard featured the image of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the ADC's presidential candidate. Adegok described the action as illegal and indicative of a jittery administration that fears the popularity of Atiku Abubakar.

He asserted that such acts will not deter the ADC's campaign efforts and emphasized that the people of Oyo State desire a continuation of democratic practices. Bimbo Adekambi, the ADC governorship candidate for Oyo State, also condemned the removal, labeling it as an infringement on their political rights and an attempt to undermine their campaign.
