Aiyedatiwa Calls for Unity in Ondo APC Ahead of 2027

Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa called for unity among members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as they prepare for the 2027 general election. Speaking at the APC Elders Council meeting at the Banquet Hall, Government House, Akure, on Monday, Aiyedatiwa urged members to support all national and state assembly candidates of the party.

He emphasized that the APC is one entity and that attempts to create factions should be addressed to maintain unity. Aiyedatiwa directed the activation of the Elders Council across the 18 local government areas of Ondo State, highlighting the critical role of elders, women, and youths in the party's success.

He stated that the success of his administration is linked to the party's electoral prospects. APC State Chairman Kolawole Babatunde acknowledged the importance of elders' experience in the party's structure.

The meeting concluded with a call for unity and support for both Aiyedatiwa and President Tinubu from the Elders Council Chairman, Nimbe Farukanmi.
