APC Chieftain Urges Tinubu to Allow Electronic Voting

Chukwuemeka Ez, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former national public secretary of the defunct New Peoples Democratic Party (NPDP), has challenged President Bola Tinubu to allow real-time electronic transmission of election results by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the upcoming 2027 general elections. Ez questioned why President Tinubu, who claims to have won the 2023 presidential poll by popular vote, is hesitant to embrace electronic transmission.

He reminded Tinubu that the Senate, led by Godswill Akpabio, must ensure that the 2027 elections are conducted fairly, liberating Nigerians from the shackles of poor governance and oppressive policies. Ez expressed concern over the APC administration's coercive tactics and noted that the Nigerian populace is ready to reclaim democracy.

He commended citizens for rejecting the Senate's stance against electronic transmission, asserting that the country cannot continue to use outdated electoral methods when technology is available to enhance the process.
