APC to Double Tinubu's Votes in Benue, Says Alia

Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, the Governor of Benue State, stated that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will remain united and is committed to doubling President Bola Tinubu's votes in the upcoming 2027 elections. During a meeting with President Tinubu, Alia acknowledged concerns regarding dissatisfaction within the party following the primaries but expressed optimism that these issues would resolve.

He described Tinubu as a democratic leader connected to the grassroots and emphasized the need to consolidate APC's support base ahead of the general elections. Alia also noted improvements in security in the state, which he believes will facilitate the voluntary return of internally displaced persons (IDPs) to their communities.

He highlighted the significance of recent projects, including a fruit concentrate factory and a beer factory, which are part of the state's development agenda. Alia reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring peace and security in Benue State as the region prepares for the elections.
