APGA Supports Soludo as Coordinator for Tinubu's Campaign

The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has congratulated Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, on his appointment as the Anambra State coordinator for President Bola Tinubu's 2027 presidential campaign council. APGA reaffirmed its support for Tinubu's re-election bid and declared it would not field a presidential candidate in the upcoming general election.

Mazi Ejimofor Opara, APGA’s National Publicity Secretary, described Soludo’s appointment as a recognition of his leadership qualities and commitment to progressive ideals. Opara noted that this appointment reflects Soludo’s advocacy for strategic cooperation between APGA and the Federal Government for the benefit of Anambra State and the South-East.

He recalled that APGA had adopted Tinubu as its consensus presidential candidate during its National Executive Committee meeting and during Tinubu's working visit to Anambra State on May 8, 2025. APGA's decision not to field a presidential candidate aligns with its earlier resolution to support Tinubu.

The party emphasized that it would maintain its political identity in Anambra State and contest legislative elections under the APGA platform.
