APGA Sets ₦75 Million Price for 2027 Presidential Ticket

The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has revealed the costs associated with its presidential ticket for the 2027 elections, as approved by the party's national working committee. The express interest form will cost ₦25 million, while the nomination form will cost an additional ₦50 million, bringing the total to ₦75 million.

This announcement was made on a Monday, with the timeline for the primary elections set for May 23, 2027. The party will begin selling the express interest forms from April 20 to May 8, with screening of aspirants occurring by May 11.

The nomination forms for various positions have also been set, with costs for Senate at ₦21 million, governorship at ₦35 million, House of Representatives at ₦16 million, and state assembly at ₦8 million. APGA's decision to set such high fees raises questions about the affordability for ordinary Nigerians and the implications for internal democracy within the party.
