Babachir Lawal Joins NDC, Critiques APC Leadership

Babachir Lawal, the former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, has officially joined the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), expressing regret for his previous association with the All Progressives Congress (APC), which he labeled as led by "crooked leaders." Lawal was welcomed into the NDC by the party's National Leader, Senator Seriake Dickson, in a ceremony held in Abuja where he received his membership card. He cited worsening security and economic conditions in Nigeria as his motivation for joining the NDC, urging Nigerians to support the presidential ticket of Peter Obi and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.

Lawal reflected on his political journey, noting his loyalty to former President Muhammadu Buhari, whom he regarded as a man of integrity. However, he became disillusioned with the APC after it nominated a presidential candidate he deemed a "crook." Lawal criticized the current administration's performance and emphasized the need for a political shift in the upcoming elections.
