Ihedioha Urges ADC Members to E-register for 2027 Elections

Emeka Ihedioha, the former governor of Imo State, has called on members of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to participate in online e-registration to strengthen the party's membership ahead of the 2027 elections. Speaking during a meeting in Owerri on Tuesday, Ihedioha expressed disappointment with the current registration response, describing it as not encouraging.

He highlighted that e-registration is a crucial first step toward achieving the party's goal, especially as there is a significant public interest in the presidential candidacy of Peter Obi. Ihedioha noted that the new guidelines from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) would require direct consensus methods for candidate selection rather than indirect delegate methods.

He tasked party leaders with identifying capable electoral aspirants and assured that even in the event of failure, he would support the chosen candidates. Nze Valentin Ajoku, a chieftain of the ADC, also expressed his commitment to rebuilding the party and emphasized the hope it brings to the people.
