Ogah Urges Politicians to Engage Electorate Ahead of 2027

Chinedu Ogah, representing Ikwo/Ezza South in the House of Representatives, called on politicians aspiring for the 2027 general elections to present themselves to the electorate instead of resorting to blackmail and political attacks. His remarks followed the recent success of the Congress in Ebonyi State, which he described as peaceful and inclusive.

Ogah praised Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru for his leadership style, which he noted has strengthened the APC in the state. He highlighted that the party has grown significantly, with three representatives in the National Assembly from Ebonyi State.

Ogah urged residents to continue supporting the governor and suggested that Nwifuru's performance has earned him broad political backing ahead of the next election cycle. He emphasized the importance of grassroots engagement and advised politicians to focus on presenting themselves to the masses rather than negative campaigning.

Ogah also dismissed claims that amendments to the electoral act were designed to favor the APC, advocating for collaboration between political leaders and grassroots communities to address insecurity and enhance democratic participation.
