Adebayo: Four Years Enough to Transform Nigeria

Adewole Adebayo, the presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) for the 2027 general elections, asserted that four years is adequate for a determined leader to transform Nigeria. Speaking in Abuja during the unveiling of his presidential policy document titled “Farewell to Poverty and Insecurity,” Adebayo criticized the current political climate, urging Nigerians to reject what he termed the “politics of comedy and clowning.” He emphasized that Nigeria's issues are largely man-made and can be resolved through effective leadership and governance.

Adebayo challenged President Bola Tinubu to a public debate to account for his administration's performance since taking office, questioning the management of government resources and the impact of the fuel subsidy removal. He also criticized the Central Bank of Nigeria for failing to protect the naira and create employment.

Adebayo's manifesto aims to provide a clear roadmap for addressing poverty and insecurity, inviting public scrutiny and contributions to its proposals.
