Grassroots Engagement Key for 2027 Elections, Says Aide

Farooq Adenugba, the Special Adviser to the Ogun State Governor on Housing, OPIC, and Special Projects, asserted that the 2027 general election will be determined by grassroots engagement rather than political noise or last-minute mobilization. He made these comments on Friday in Ago-Iwoye, Ijebu North Local Government Area, during a youth mentorship program combined with the inauguration of his political team.

The event was organized in collaboration with the Prince Segun Kaka Foundation and the Academic Excellence Initiative, Ijebu Zone, and was themed ‘Failing Forward.’ Adenugba addressed secondary school students, encouraging them to view setbacks as learning opportunities and to focus on education and skill development. He emphasized the need for young people to establish effective grassroots networks to coordinate political activities for the upcoming elections.

Adenugba clarified that his political structure aims to complement the All Progressives Congress's existing grassroots efforts, advocating for unity and organized engagement to achieve political goals.
