PDP Candidate Advocates Credibility for Ogun 2027 Elections

Adeoye Adewale Adeniran, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Abeokuta South State Constituency II, stated that the 2027 governorship election in Ogun State should focus on credibility, honesty, competence, and commitment to public service rather than political popularity or financial influence. Speaking to PDP members in Ward 14, Onikolobo, he urged voters to look beyond superficial campaign tactics like billboards and rallies.

He referenced concerns raised by the party’s senatorial candidate for Ogun Central, Iyabo Obasanjo, regarding the integrity of the APC governorship candidate, Solomon Adeola, asserting that allegations of Adeola lacking integrity should be taken seriously. Adeoye linked these concerns to broader issues of governance, particularly the controversies surrounding the 2026 Federal Budget.

He emphasized that elections driven by money have led to ineffective leadership and called for a focus on leaders with proven records of service, citing Oladipupo Adebutu as an example. Adeoye pledged to advocate for legislation prioritizing the people's needs and urged voters to resist vote-selling.
