KSM Reaffirms Loyalty to APC, Urges Party Unity for 2027

The Kwara Solidarity Movement (KSM), consisting of former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) members who defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC), reaffirmed their loyalty to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and the APC in preparation for the 2027 general elections. At a press conference on Friday at the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Press Centre in Ilorin, State Coordinator Arc.

Akanbi Lamidi Lamak urged Ambassador Yahaya Seriki Gambari and other discontented APC members to reconcile with the party, emphasizing that internal divisions could jeopardize electoral prospects. The KSM, formed by former PDP members who joined the APC between 2023 and 2026, endorsed AbdulRazaq for the Kwara Central senatorial seat and Salihu Yakubu Danladi as the party's governorship candidate.

Lamak acknowledged Seriki's grievances but appealed for his return to the party, asserting that the APC is the only viable platform for success in 2027. The group called for peace within the APC and urged AbdulRazaq to engage in dialogue with party members.
