Ex-Rivers Senatorial Candidate Dougla Declares for 2027 Governorship

Dr. Fabek Dougla, a former senatorial candidate and prominent Ogoni activist, has officially announced his candidacy for the Rivers State governorship election scheduled for 2027.

His declaration was made during the unveiling of his development initiative known as the Nehemiah program, which aims to drive economic revival and social progress in Rivers State. Dougla's platform focuses on rebuilding the state’s economy and fostering inclusivity.

He highlighted his experience from the 2023 senatorial race as a significant factor in shaping his decision to run. Dougla expressed confidence in his leadership abilities to usher in a new political direction for Rivers State, which he believes has immense economic potential.

He plans to align with a political platform that reflects his philosophy, although he has not yet disclosed the political party he will represent.
