PDP Successfully Uploads Candidates for 2027 Elections

The People's Democratic Party (PDP) has confirmed the successful upload of its presidential candidate, Umar Babangida, and vice-presidential candidate, Onor Sandi Ojang, to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) portal on July 10, 2026, at 11:50 AM. This action was taken in compliance with INEC's requirements ahead of the 2027 elections.

Despite earlier claims that the PDP, along with two other political parties, had not uploaded their candidates' names, the party's National Working Committee (NWC) provided proof of the upload. Haruna Moham, the party's public secretary, stated that the upload was completed within the stipulated timeline set by INEC, which had initially set a deadline of July 11, 2026, before shutting the portal on July 14, 2026.

The NWC had previously confirmed the successful upload on July 10, amidst confusion regarding the submission process.
