APC Uploads 471 Candidates for 2027 Elections

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has uploaded a total of 471 candidates to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) portal in preparation for the 2027 elections. This submission includes 109 candidates for the Senate and 360 candidates for the House of Representatives, alongside the presidential ticket featuring Bola Tinubu and his running mate, Kashim Shettima.

The APC's national chairman, Prof. Nentaw Yilwatda, confirmed the completion of this exercise, stating that the party achieved full compliance with INEC's nomination requirements.

The deadline for political parties to submit their nomination forms was set for 6 PM on Saturday, July 11. The process began after INEC granted access to the nomination portal on June 26.

This successful upload positions the APC among the political parties that have met the electoral body's submission deadline, marking a significant step in the party's preparations for the upcoming elections.
