Dickson Supports G100 but Prioritizes NDC's Election Win

Seriake Dickson, the National Leader of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), expressed support for the G100's initiative aimed at producing a consensus presidential candidate ahead of the 2027 general elections during an appearance on Arise Television’s Prime Time on Wednesday. He stated that while the NDC endorses the G100's efforts, the party is primarily focused on winning the election with its already established presidential ticket.

Dickson described the NDC's ticket as the most exciting, vibrant, and appealing, resonating with Nigerians both at home and abroad. He acknowledged the G100's contributions, stating that their thinking is not misplaced and that the NDC is open to collaboration with other parties.

However, he reiterated that the NDC is committed to contesting the elections independently. The G100 Alliance Summit, recently held at the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre in Abuja, gathered opposition leaders from six political parties to discuss unity and cooperation ahead of the elections against the ruling All Progressives Congress and its presidential candidate, President Bola Tinubu.
