Atiku Abubakar Questions INEC's Integrity for 2027 Elections

Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate for the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the 2027 elections, voiced his concerns regarding the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) during an interview on BBC Hausa. He stated that he lacks confidence in INEC's ability to conduct fair elections, attributing this skepticism to the commission's perceived influence by the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led Federal Government.

Atiku urged Nigerians to actively participate in the electoral process by voting and protecting their votes to ensure they count. Additionally, he addressed allegations that he is a significant barrier to the G-100 coalition, asserting that such claims are unfounded and emphasizing his role as one of the initiators of the coalition, with many original members still supporting the initiative.
