INEC and ICPC Host Workshop for Corruption-Free Elections

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) commenced a two-day anti-corruption educational workshop for INEC staff in Abuja, focusing on the theme of corruption-free elections in preparation for the 2027 general elections. The workshop was declared open by INEC Chairman Prof.

Joash Amupitan and featured Mr. Mai Agbamuch Mbu, who represented the ICPC.

Agbamuch Mbu highlighted the significance of integrity in elections, stating that compromised elections erode public trust and harm the nation. He commended the ICPC for facilitating the workshop, which aimed to build capacity and share best practices among staff.

ICPC's Dr. Musa Adamu SAN and Mr.

Henri Emor also participated, emphasizing that corruption is a major hindrance to development. The workshop aimed to equip participants with the necessary resources to ensure free, fair, and equitable elections, stressing the importance of integrity in the electoral process.
