KWAM1’s Daughter Damilola Ayinde Marshal Eyes Lagos Assembly

Damilola Ayinde Marshal, the daughter of renowned fuji musician Wasiu Ayinde Marshal (KWAM1), has declared her ambition to contest for a position in the Lagos State House of Assembly, specifically for Surulere Constituency 2. In an Instagram post on Tuesday, she expressed her commitment to serving the people of her constituency.

Damilola, who has 12 years of professional experience as a lawyer, emphasized her understanding of governance and justice needs within the community. She aims to be a voice for the youth and believes her leadership will address the right issues.

Damilola is set to replace the current representative, Mosunmola Rotimi Sangodara, from the APC. She graduated with a law degree from a university in North America and was called to the Nigerian Bar on December 15, 2015.

Additionally, she received a master's degree in law from a prestigious university in Lagos in 2022. Her recent appointment as Senior Special Assistant on Tourism by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on May 3, 2024, was publicly acknowledged by her father during a birthday celebration.
