Kwankwaso Urges Yari to Reconsider APC Campaign Role

Rabiu Kwankwaso, a prominent leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), called on Senator Abdul’aziz Yari to reconsider his acceptance of the role as Director-General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council. Kwankwaso stated that the council's formation raises critical questions about whether Nigerians will choose a new beginning or continue with a system that has caused significant hardship.

He emphasized the need for accountable governance and urged voters to reject oppression in the upcoming 2027 elections. Kwankwaso expressed surprise at Yari's willingness to lead a campaign that aims to perpetuate a government under which many citizens, including those from Yari's home state of Zamfara, continue to suffer from insecurity, poverty, and unemployment.

Additionally, Kwankwaso raised concerns about the involvement of senior public officials, such as Dr. Zacch Adedeji and Dr. Tanimu Yakubu Kurfi, in the campaign's fundraising efforts, questioning the compatibility of their public responsibilities with partisan roles.
