Lagos Police Command Enhances Security Training for Elections

The Lagos State Police Command has strengthened its personnel's capacity in election security management ahead of the 2027 general elections through a five-day specialized training organized by the Nigeria Police Trust Fund. This training took place from October 26 to 30, 2026, and was facilitated by 3Streams Synergy.
It involved police personnel primarily from the Lagos State Command, OALEside officers from the FCID Annex, Lagos; Zone 2 Headquarters; Special Fraud Unit (SFU); and Special Protection Unit (SPU). The program aimed to enhance officers' professional capacity and preparedness for effective election security management, covering key areas such as professionalism, political neutrality, respect for human rights, crowd management, inter-agency collaboration, and adherence to the rule of law.
Commissioner of Police Tijani Olaiwola Fatai expressed gratitude to Inspector-General of Police Olatunji Rilwan Disu for his commitment to capacity development. The Command assured residents of its commitment to providing adequate security before, during, and after the elections.
