Madumere Promises Healthcare Reform in Imo East for 2027

Prince Eze Madumere, the former Deputy Governor of Imo State, has announced his commitment to tackle maternal and infant mortality in the Imo East District if elected as Senator in the 2027 general elections. This declaration follows the lifting of the ban on campaign activities by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Madumere, representing the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), expressed his determination to improve healthcare delivery in the Owerri Senatorial Zone. He highlighted the preventable nature of maternal and infant mortality and stressed that every mother deserves access to quality healthcare.

Madumere identified critical issues such as a shortage of primary healthcare facilities and professional birth personnel that need urgent attention. He plans to upgrade and equip Primary Healthcare Centres and ensure the training and retention of health personnel.
