Madumere Advocates Preventive Healthcare at IMSU Outreach

Prince Eze Madumere, the former Deputy Governor of Imo State, emphasized the importance of good health as a foundation for education and sustainable development while addressing the Faculty of Health Science Students’ Association (FOHSSA) Free Medical Outreach at Imo State University in Owerri. He highlighted the critical role of preventive healthcare initiatives, such as free medical outreaches, in reducing disease burden through early detection and public health awareness.

Madumere commended FOHSSA for their commitment to community service and encouraged students to focus on their studies while engaging in community outreach. He praised the range of services provided during the outreach, including BMI assessments, HIV screenings, and health education, which would benefit residents with limited access to healthcare.

Additionally, he acknowledged the support of OCCEEJ Diagnostics and other partners in making the outreach successful. Madumere reiterated his commitment to improving healthcare delivery and community welfare through his “Journey of Grace” initiative.
