Tinubu's Supporters Claim Muslim-Muslim Ticket Settled

Umar Tanko Yakasai, the Director General of the Tinubu Support Group, stated that the issue of the Muslim-Muslim ticket, which was a significant topic during the 2023 presidential election, is no longer a concern as Nigeria approaches the 2027 elections. He emphasized that Bola Tinubu's administration has made the North Central region a major beneficiary of its policies, despite the region's significant Christian population.

Yakasai criticized Rabiu Kwankwaso, who has been vocal about the Muslim-Muslim ticket, asserting that Tinubu has proven to be a president for all Nigerians, regardless of tribe or religion. He also rejected allegations that Tinubu's administration favors the South West in federal appointments, citing a diverse representation across various regions and religions in recent appointments, including Dr. Lilian En Ogbole to the National Wage Commission.

Yakasai's comments were made during a press briefing in Abuja, where he discussed the economic and infrastructural development agenda for the North Central region.
