Tinubu's Presidency Eases Concerns Over Muslim-Muslim Ticket

Farouk Aliyu, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), remarked that President Bola Tinubu's leadership has dispelled fears surrounding the Muslim-Muslim ticket following the 2023 general elections. During an interview on Arise Television, Aliyu defended the decision to retain Vice President Kashim Shettima as Tinubu's running mate for the 2027 presidential elections.

He asserted that the APC's choice to maintain the Tinubu-Shettima ticket has already garnered trust and support from Nigerians. Aliyu emphasized that the administration operates without religious bias and that the party's decision to keep the ticket unchanged aims to avoid political complications.

He expressed confidence that Nigerians would once again support the Tinubu-Shettima ticket in future elections, highlighting the party's commitment to governance without religious considerations.
